I did not purchase this Mic for gaming. I needed it to assist someone in doing a PodCast and it seemed to work as planned. Great sound quality, picked up everything that needed to be heard and then some. Works great with both my laptop and desktop.

This Rode brand studio microphone is really excellent. The sound over recording is absolutely crisp and clear. The pop filter is secure to the mic and filters perfectly to add to the really crisp sound. It is a great size and easy to store, move around or travel with.

I needed a mic quickly but didn’t have the money for one so i got the absolute cheapest i could find as a temporary fix until i got my next paycheck (which happened to be this one since it was one sale for 10 dollars at the time). For that purpose, its great! The sound quality is surprisingly very good and the fact it came with a pop filter is nice, but there’s a lot of problems with it too. Biggest one is how quiet it is, and theres no gain or volume knob on it so unless you turn up the volume all the way in whatever software you have you’ll barely be able to hear what you recorded. Besides that it’s really prone to feedback from other electronics so you have to make sure not to have any speakers be near it. Lastly the cord is attached to the mic itself so if anything happens to the cord you’re gonna have to replace the whole mic. Overall I’m happy with it for what i needed it for, that being said i’m planning on upgrading asap. If you need a mic under 50 bucks, this is a good one to get, but you get what you pay for.

I have to make a lot of videos for work, and when I say a lot I use this for voice overs as well as answering the phone. People can hear me clearer than ever! I absolutely love this microphone and its clarity, convenience of set up, and portability. One feature that I like is that it’s usb and I like that. It’s completely made all the difference for my audio. I highly recommend it.

I have issues with people not being able to hear me even with system microphone settings at max volume, and with me turned up all the way in discord or game. Decent hz range but too quiet for just sitting on the desk in front of me.

I used it a few times, because for some reason for other people, the sound seemed like it was coming from far away(like it was at the other end of the room). So I stopped using it for awhile. I started using it again after that certain amount of time. Maybe a month, it wasn’t plugged in or anything. It was not being used. I started to use it, and the audio from it sounded like a buzzing around so I did some troubleshoots(unplugging it, moving it away from devices, increasing the sensitivity on microphone, using a different USB port, and moving it closer to my mouth, anda software that was built into my computer to help to make microphones sound better) and nothing worked. I didn’t abuse it either. I never mistreated it, I was gentle with it. But, for some reason it stopped working and now all you hear is a bussing sound(like a fly, flying around).

My mic has virtually been a blessing for me. The stand is a bit tricky to balance without a proper space to put it, but I’ve found ways to mediate that trouble. The recording quality is surprisingly smooth due in-part to the pop filter included. I remember being blown away when I got it!

I record music very frequently, and I wanted an affordable mic that would reduce static and make the sound quality really good. You get what you pay for, and it’s a decent mic, but if your goal is to completely eliminate static, I would recommend investing in something of higher quality.

The microphone picks up the background noise really well. others can hear footsteps coming. The only issue is when I speak into the microphone while it is sitting on my desk, my friends say it sounds like I am on the other side of the room. For me to be clear, I have to have the mic almost on my mouth.

I am a streamer on Twitch who has had a lot of viewer growth recently. The only thing holding me back was the crappy sound quality of the headset microphone I was using.
After weeks of complaining about having to use my headset microphone, my wife surprised me with this. Let me just say: she did a fantastic job. I may keep her after all.
First off, my immediate impression upon unboxing it was how well it is made and how nice it looks. It seems like it will last me a long time.
Second, the sound quality is INCREDIBLE. As with any microphone, you have to mess with the settings and find the perfect ones that suit your voice. After doing this, my voice sounds crisp, clean, balanced, and most importantly, PROFESSIONAL.
Also, I effectively eliminated all background noise with my settings. That means my viewers can no longer hear my wife nagging me in the background when I’ve been playing my games entirely too long. It’s worth five stars for that alone!!
Third, it was super easy to set up, and the customer service is fantastic.
My only recommendation if you are looking for a mic for streaming purposes is to buy one of those adjustable stands that clamp to the side of your computer desk. The closer your mouth is to the mic (like all mics), the better you will sound.
Conclusion: HIGH-QUALITY MIC AT A FRACTION OF THE COST. Best bang for your buck!
